A New Algebraic Inequality and Some Applications in Submanifold Theory
We give a simple proof of the Chen inequality involving the Chen invariant δ(k) of submanifolds in Riemannian space forms. We derive Chen’s first inequality and the Chen–Ricci inequality.

Information Submanifold Based on SPD Matrices and Its Applications to Sensor Networks
In this paper, firstly, manifoldPD(n)consisting of alln×nsymmetric positive-definite matrices is introduced based on matrix information geometry; Secondly, the geometrical structures of information submanifold ofPD(n)are presented including metric ...

Submanifolds of Almost-Complex Metallic Manifolds
Our paper aims to study the geometry of submanifolds of an almost-complex metallic manifold. We give an example of this type of manifold, and reveal the fundamental properties of structure induced on submanifolds.

The (α,p)-Golden Metric Manifolds and Their Submanifolds
The notion of a golden structure was introduced 15 years ago by the present authors and has been a constant interest of several geometers. Now, we propose a new generalization apart from that called the metallic structure, which is also considered by the

Contact-Complex Riemannian Submersions
A submersion from an almost contact Riemannian manifold to an almost Hermitian manifold, acting on the horizontal distribution by preserving both the metric and the structure, is, roughly speaking a contact-complex Riemannian submersion. This paper deals

Infinitesimal variations of submanifolds [PDF]
This paper deals with the subject of infinitesimal variations of Euclidean submanifolds with arbitrary dimension and codimension. The main goal is to establish a Fundamental theorem for these geometric objects. Similar to the theory of isometric immersions in Euclidean space, we prove that a system of three equations for a certain pair of tensors are ...
