S-Shaped Laying Technology for Deepwater Submarine Pipelines in the South China Sea

open access: yesShiyou jixie
The deepwater environment is complicated and changeable, and internal wave current frequently occurs in the South China Sea,so the laying of submarine pipelines is extremely challenging in the deep waters of the South China Sea.Taking the deepwater ...

Computer-aided design of submarine pipelines

open access: yesWater Science and Technology, 1995
The computerization of pipeline design is relatively important for the engineering feasibility of submarine pipelines. The changing environmental conditions make difficulties for the stability calculation of each pipe segment on line. For this reason, the computer study will provide many advantages during the design of pipeline.

Ocean Industries and Marine Planning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Marine planning (marine spatial planning/MSP) is under development as a viable tool to address potential user conflicts in the oceans and allow for better management of ocean uses and resources. With marine planning developing in many parts of the world,

De Novo Multi‐Mechanism Antimicrobial Peptide Design via Multimodal Deep Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Current AI‐driven peptide discovery often overlooks complex structural data. This study presents M3‐CAD, a generative pipeline that leverages 3D voxel coloring and a massive database of over 12 000 peptides to capture nuanced physicochemical contexts.

An analysis of installation of submarine pipelines

open access: yes, 1999
There are different methods of construction of outfall pipelines, all of them have to solve the problem of placing a tube over a known location in sea bed. This process has sometimes to be done in difficult conditions as waves, current or depths greater than 30 metres, where a diver cannot go safely beyond.

DMAP1 Deficiency Suppresses Lung Cancer Progression by Destabilizing Replication Fork and Activating IFN Signaling‐Mediated Anti‐tumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer‐related death. We investigated the role of the epigenetic regulator DMAP1 in NSCLC and found that its loss induces replication stress and DNA damage. This in turn activates type I IFN signaling via the cGAS–STING pathway and transcriptional ISG de‐repression, enhancing anti‐tumor immune responses ...

Deep sea water pumping pipe destruction due to undersea debris flow

open access: yesGeoenvironmental Disasters
Background This study investigates the destruction of deep-sea water pumping pipes due to submarine debris flows. The DEBRIS- 2D debris flow simulation model is applied to an actual submarine debris flow case in the Zhi-Ben River Estuary in Taitung ...

Experimental study on lateral instability of submarine pipelines in sandy seabed

open access: yesYou-qi chuyun
Objective In complex and unpredictable marine settings, submarine pipelines laid in sandy seabeds are susceptible to lateral instability. Nonetheless, the reasons behind this remain ambiguous.

Geopolitics of pipelines and Eastern Europe with especial regard to Hungary [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The energy strategy of East Central European countries have joined to EU in 2004 is differentiated. It can be stated that majority of these countries have already energy policy and strategy to secure their own energy supply.

Organ‐Specific and Conserved Regulatory Logic Orchestrates Gene Expression in the Embryonic Mesothelium

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Integrated multi‐omic profiling maps the gene‐regulatory landscape of the coelomic mesothelium across heart, lung, and pancreas. A cardiac‐restricted regulatory program is uncovered in which TBX20 activates heart mesothelial (epicardial) cis‐regulatory elements, while MAF emerges as a conserved regulator of mesothelial identity.
