Thermodynamic Constraints and Prospects for Intensified Steel Deoxidation

Bringing a specially tailored, powdered slag into the reaction site can directly bind the deoxidation product oxides, resulting in lower dissolved oxygen activity, total oxygen content, and cleaner steel.
