Assessing the Very High Cycle Fatigue Behavior and Frequency Effect of Structural Steel Welds

open access: yesFatigue &Fracture of Engineering Materials &Structures, Volume 48, Issue 4, Page 1529-1541, April 2025.
ABSTRACT The very high cycle fatigue behavior of S275J2+N flux‐core arc welded joints was investigated using the ultrasonic fatigue testing method at a loading frequency of 20 kHz. A bespoke specimen design featuring the weld toe was employed to more suitably represent in‐service welded joints than typical ultrasonic fatigue testing specimens.

A comprehensive review of the application of cold plasma technology in lignocellulosic biomass pretreatment

open access: yesBiofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining, Volume 19, Issue 2, Page 453-468, March/April 2025.
Abstract Lignocellulosic biomass (LCB) is a promising feedstock for the sustainable production of biofuels and other biobased products, owing to its abundance, low cost, and minimal competition with food crops for resources. It is mainly composed of cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin, forming a complex biomass matrix.

Researches on Submerged Arc Welding

open access: yesJournal of the Japan Welding Society, 1950
In order to find out a good flux for submerged arc welding, various expeniments were executed, and following results are obtained.(1) For the welding, the most suitable melting point of the flux was about 1, 350°C and the specific gravity was 4.5.(2) According to the result of the mechanical tests, the flux is applicable to practice.(3) The welding ...

Effect of cladding procedures on mechanical properties of heat treated dissimilar joint

open access: yesMetalurgija, 2012
The specimens plated by different cladding procedures (hot rolling, submerged arc welding surfacing using strip electrode (SAW) and explosion welding) were heat treated by annealing (650 ºC through 2 hours). Charpy impact energy testing, as well as shear
