Providing resistance to sulfide stress corrosion cracking of pipelines welded joints by selection of welding parameters [PDF]
Sulfide stress cracking (SSC) is one of the most dangerous types of pipelines destruction. Thermal impact of the welding process drives to heterogeneity of the microstructure and properties of the metal, which can lead to cracking of pipeline welded ...

Effect of Submerged Arc Welding (Saw) Parameters on Aisi 1020 Steel
Abstract: This research investigates the Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) process applied to AISI 1020 steel plates (450 mm x 300 mm, 12 mm thickness). A V-groove shape was prepared for welding using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) rooting. To achieve optimal results, welding parameters such as current, voltage, and travel speed were optimized.

Welfare of American mink, red and Arctic foxes, raccoon dog and chinchilla kept for fur production
Abstract This Scientific Opinion (SO) addresses a mandate from the EC regarding welfare of the following animals when farmed for their fur: (i) American mink (Neogale vison or Neovison vison), (ii) Red fox (Vulpes vulpes, also known as ‘silver fox’), (iii) Arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus, also known as ‘blue fox’), (iv) Raccoon dog (Nyctereutes procyonoides,

The Effects of Post Weld Heat Treatment on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of API X70 Linepipe using Submerged Arc Welding [PDF]
API X70 steel requires high strength and toughness for safety in extreme environments like high pressure and low temperature. Submerged Arc Welding (SAW ) is effective for manufacturing thick steel pipes. However, the welding heat input during SAW alters

Reactions at the molten flux-weld pool interface in submerged arc welding
In submerged arc welding (SAW) of chromium (Cr) containing steels, Cr is usually added to the weld metal from the weld wire, and not from the welding flux.

Effect Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) of Angular Distortion of T-joint
Submerged Arc Welding(SAW),the molten weld metal is immersed in aflux that protects it from air contamination, forming welding slag which is strong enough to protect the weld metal until it solidifies. The used electrode was AWSA5.17EL12. The base metal being welded is ASTM A283 Grade A.

Wear behaviour of Cr3C2–Ni cermet reinforced hardfacings
Submerged arc welding (SAW), plasma transferred arc welding (PTAW), and tungsten inert gas welding (TIG) technologies were used to produce austenitic stainless steel (SS) and nickel alloy (Ni) matrix based hardfacings without reinforcement and reinforced

Developing new cold spray additive manufacturing strategies to make metallic components improves the part geometry accuracy but negatively affects the material properties due to a lower cohesion of particles. Heat treatments solve this effect by increasing the strength and homogenizing the residual stresses.

Effect of recycled flux over mechanical properties of A36 steel in submerged arc welding
The objective of the current research is to analyse the feasibility of utilising welding slag as flux material in Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) of A36 steel. The amount of welding slag incorporated with virgin flux is varied from 20 to 50 percent in weight
