Analysis of effects of magnetic slot wedges on characteristics of large induction motor

open access: yes, 2012
Magnetic slot wedges are often used to improve starting performance of large induction motors. In this paper we have investigated – through simulation – the effects of the wedges on the performance characteristics of the motor and core losses under no ...

PPARAMETRIC ANALYSIS OF THE ROTOR BAR OF A SQUIRREL CAGE INDUCTION MOTOR USED IN SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS

open access: yes
This study investigates the effects of rotor bars on the performance of three-phase induction motors used in submersible pumps and focuses on the parametric analysis of a rotor bar made of aluminum or copper. This analysis examines a 55 kW, 380 V, 50 Hz,

EFFECTIVENESS OF USING A SOLID-CORE INDUCTION MOTOR IN A SUBMERSIBLE BOREHOLE PUMP UNDER INCREASED SUPPLY FREQUENCY

open access: yesTekhnichna Elektrodynamika
The article presents the results of the optimization-based parametric synthesis of an induction motor with a solid core for a submersible borehole pump operating at doubled supply frequency. The proposed synthesis methodology is based on a weakly coupled circuit-field mathematical model with iterative parameterization of field analysis results.
