On the Root-class Residuality of HNN-extensions of Groups
Let K be an arbitrary root class of groups. This means that K contains at least one non-unit group, is closed under taking subgroups and direct products of a finite number of factors and satisfies the Gruenberg condition: if 1 ≤ Z ≤ Y ≤ X is a subnormal ...

Groups in which Sylow subgroups and subnormal subgroups permute
A finite group is called a PST-group if its subnormal subgroups permute with its Sylow subgroups. It is shown that if \(G\) is a PST-group and \(H_1/K_1\) and \(H_2/K_2\) are isomorphic Abelian chief factors of \(G\) with \(H_1H_2\subseteq G'\), then these factors are \(G\)-isomorphic (Theorem 2).

Interplay between erectile dysfunction, diabetes mellitus and genetics. ABSTRACT Introduction Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a highly prevalent complication of diabetes mellitus (DM), significantly impairing quality of life and psychosocial well‐being. The prevalence of ED is estimated to be over 3.5 times higher in men with diabetes mellitus compared to

Tracking visual outcomes – Follow‐up on patients born preterm with childhood‐onset visual impairment
Abstract Purpose Preterm birth is associated with a risk of ocular complications. The primary aim of the study was to evaluate the main cause of visual impairment (VI) in a cohort of preterm born patients who had childhood‐onset VI. The association between health‐related quality of life (HRQoL) and age, cause—and severity of VI and impairment type was ...

On soluble groups whose subnormal subgroups are inert [PDF]
A subgroup H of a group G is called inert if, for each g∈G , the index of H∩H g in H is finite. We give a classification of soluble-by-finite groups G in which subnormal subgroups are inert in the cases where G has no nontrivial torsion ...

F^ω-injectors of finite groups [PDF]
Only finite groups and classes of finite groups are considered. $\frak F$-injectors (B. Fischer, W. Gaschutz, B. Hartley, 1967) and $\frak F$-projectors (W.

ABSTRACT Background Pleural effusions of unknown etiology have been demonstrated to be associated with poor prognosis in lung allograft recipients. We aimed to identify novel risk factors for pleural effusions after lung transplantation (LTX) and to shed light on their association with allograft function and survival, differentiating early and late ...

ABSTRACT Background Elexacaftor/tezacaftor/ivacaftor (ETI) is a Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Conductance Regulator (CFTR) therapy that improves pulmonary function and chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) in cystic fibrosis (CF) adults with at least one copy of the F508del CFTR mutation.

Limits of contraction groups and the Tits core
The Tits core G^+ of a totally disconnected locally compact group G is defined as the abstract subgroup generated by the closures of the contraction groups of all its elements.

Abstract This updated risk assessment evaluated evidence on potential adverse health effects of fluoride related to all sources of oral exposure as mandated by the European Commission. Fluoride benefit assessment was not included. Effects on the central nervous system, thyroid and bone were prioritised.
