Cache-Aided Interference Management with Subexponential Subpacketization

open access: yesCoRR, 2019
Consider an interference channel consisting of $K_T$ transmitters and $K_R$ receivers with AWGN noise and complex channel gains, and with $N$ files in the system. The one-shot $\mathsf{DoF}$ for this channel is the maximum number of receivers which can be served simultaneously with vanishing probability of error as the $\mathsf{SNR}$ grows large, under

A Model of the Subpacket Structure of Rising Tone Chorus Emissions

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, 2020
The nonlinear growth theory of chorus emissions is used to develop a simple model of the subpacket formation. The model assumes that the resonant current, which is released from the source to the upstream region, radiates a new whistler mode wave with a slightly increased frequency, which triggers a new subpacket.

Stochastic Coded Caching with Optimized Shared-Cache Sizes and Reduced Subpacketization

open access: yesICC 2022 - IEEE International Conference on Communications, 2022
This work studies the $K$-user broadcast channel with $Λ$ caches, when the association between users and caches is random, i.e., for the scenario where each user can appear within the coverage area of -- and subsequently is assisted by -- a specific cache based on a given probability distribution.

Coded Caching via Projective Geometry: A new low subpacketization scheme [PDF]

open access: yes2019 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT), 2019
Coded Caching is a promising solution to reduce the peak traffic in broadcast networks by prefetching the popular content close to end users and using coded transmissions. One of the chief issues of most coded caching schemes in literature is the issue of large $\textit{subpacketization}$, i.e., they require each file to be divided into a large number ...

Some new Constructions of Coded Caching Schemes with Reduced Subpacketization

open access: yesCoRR, 2019
We study the problem of constructing centralized coded caching schemes with low subpacketization level based on the placement delivery array (PDA) design framework. PDA design is an efficient way to construct centralized coded caching schemes and most existing schemes, including the famous Maddah-Ali-Niesen scheme, can be described using PDA.

Private Information Retrieval for Graph-based Replication with Minimal Subpacketization

open access: yesCoRR
We design new minimal-subpacketization schemes for information-theoretic private information retrieval on graph-based replicated databases. In graph-based replication, the system consists of $K$ files replicated across $N$ servers according to a graph with $N$ vertices and $K$ edges.

Resonant Electron Signatures in the Formation of Chorus Wave Subpackets

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
Abstract A 2‐D GCPIC simulation in a dipole field system has been conducted to explore the excitation of oblique whistler mode chorus waves driven by energetic electrons with temperature anisotropy. The rising tone chorus waves are initially generated near the magnetic equator, consisting of a series of subpackets, and become oblique ...
