Superradiance and subradiance in systems of excited nuclei

open access: yes, 1991
This thesis studies superradiance and subradiance in the normal modes of excitation of systems of resonant nuclei. The nuclei are treated as classical electric dipole oscillators interacting through their radiation fields.

Superradiance and subradiance in extended media

open access: yes, 2017
In super- or subradiance, a quantum superposition of excited atoms collectively emits a photon much more or much less rapidly than an isolated atom. Superradiant and subradiant lifetimes have been derived for finite spheres of uniform media, either by simulating random samples or by expanding in spherical harmonics and analyzing Bessel functions.

Analog quantum simulation of superradiance and subradiance in trapped ions [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 2019
We discuss a protocol for the analogue quantum simulation of superradiance and subradiance using a linear chain of N trapped qubit ions with a single sympathetic cooling ion. We develop a simple analytic model that shows the dynamics of the qubit subspace converge to those of a cloud undergoing Dicke superradiance and subradiance.

Long-lived collective modes of light in cold atoms : experimental and numerical studies on subradiance and Anderson localization

open access: yes, 2022
L'objectif de cette thèse est d'élargir notre compréhension des phénomènes collectifs de diffusion de la lumière qui se manifestent par la forte suppression du rayonnement du milieu diffusant.

Decay dynamics in the coupled-dipole model

open access: yes, 2017
Cooperative scattering in cold atoms has gained renewed interest, in particular in the context of single-photon superradiance, with the recent experimental observation of super-and subradiance in dilute atomic clouds.

Harnessing collective radiative phenomena on a photonic Kagome lattice

open access: yesAPL Photonics
Photonic lattices enable experimental exploration of transport and localization phenomena, two of the major goals in physics and technology. In particular, the optical excitation of some lattice sites, which evanescently couple to a lattice array ...

Super- and subradiance in a dilute cloud of cold atoms

open access: yes, 2018
Le problème de l'interaction de N atomes avec un faisceau laser et les modes du vide peut donner lieu à de nombreux phénomènes intéressants concernant l’émission spontanée de la lumière et sa propagation dans l’échantillon.
