Existence of solutions for singular (p,q)-Kirchhoff type systems with multiple parameters

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2016
This article concerns the existence of positive solutions for singular (p,q)-Kirchhoff type systems with multiple parameters. Our approach is based on the method of sub- and super-solutions.

General Existence of Solutions to Dynamic Programming Principle [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We provide an alternative approach to the existence of solutions to dynamic programming equations arising in the discrete game-theoretic interpretations for various nonlinear partial differential equations including the infinity Laplacian, mean curvature

A Phragmén — Lindelöf principle for subsolutions of quasi — linear equations

open access: yesmanuscripta mathematica, 1981
Quasi — linear elliptic equations of homogeneous type are studied in this paper. The equation satisfies uniform ellipticity and growth conditions. A Phragmen — Lindelof principle is proved by a combined technique of Ladyženskaya-Ural'ceva and Moser.

Existence of maximal and minimal weak solutions and finite difference approximations for elliptic systems with nonlinear boundary conditions

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations
We establish the existence of maximal and minimal weak solutions between ordered pairs of weak sub- and super-solutions for a coupled system of elliptic equations with quasimonotone nonlinearities on the boundary.

Traveling waves in lattice differential equations with distributed maturation delay

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2013
In this paper we derive a lattice model with infinite distributed delay to describe the growth of a single-species population in a 2D patchy environment with infinite number of patches connected locally by diffusion and global interaction.

Monotonicity and uniqueness of traveling waves in bistable systems with delay

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2014
This article establishes the monotonicity, uniqueness and Liapunov stability of traveling waves for bistable systems with delay. We use an elementary super-subsolution comparison method and a moving plane technique.

Critical parameter equations for degenerate parabolic equations coupled via nonlinear boundary flux

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2011
This paper deals with the critical parameter equations for a degenerate parabolic system coupled via nonlinear boundary flux. By constructing the self-similar supersolution and subsolution, we obtain the critical global existence parameter equation.
