Meningitis caused by Mycoplasma mycoides subspecies capri in a goat

A 2-year-old, female goat from Connecticut was submitted for necropsy with a 5-day history of pyrexia and intermittent neurologic signs, including nystagmus, seizures, and circling. Postmortem examination revealed suppurative meningitis.

Pteris madhusoodananii (Pteridaceae), a new fern species from India

Pteris madhusoodananii sp. nov. (Pteridaceae), from the Kolli hills of Eastern Ghats, India, is described. The new taxon is morphologically distinct, characterized by a unique lamina texture and coloration, specific pinna‐pinnule architecture and distinct spore micromorphology.

Lasianthus phucanhensis (Rubiaceae), a new species from Hoa Binh Province, northwestern Vietnam, is described and illustrated. In addition, the opportunity is taken to review the typification of all Lasianthus spp. from Vietnam. Three lectotypes are selected for Lasianthus kamputensis Pierre ex Pit., Lasianthus dinhensis Pierre ex Pit.
