Nucleophilic C–H functionalization of arenes: a new logic of organic synthesis

open access: yes, 2017
Direct metal-free C–H functionalization of arenes with nucleophiles is a new chapter in the chemistry of aromatics. Comprehensive studies on nucleophilic substitution of hydrogen in arenes (the SNH reactions), including mechanisms, intermediates ...

Synchronized Electro‐Chromo‐Emissive Devices Using a Mixed Ionic‐Electronic Conductive Layer for XR Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A single cell type Electro‐chromo‐emissive (ECECL) device integrating synchronized electrochromic (EC) and electrochemiluminescent (ECL) functions is developed using a mixed ionic‐electronic conductor (MIEC). A MIEC layer reduces ionic/electronic resistance, enabling ultrafast switching and enhanced optical contrast.

Chain substitution and successive approximation method: Throughput analysis at SMEs

open access: yesInternational Journal of Engineering Business Management, 2019
The purpose of this research work is to illustrate that using the logic of theory of constraints (TOC) concerning the Throughput is adequate in management decisions to improve performance in the context of small and medium enterprises.

An algorithm for the construction of substitution box for block ciphers based on projective general linear group

open access: yes, 2017
The aim of this work is to synthesize 8*8 substitution boxes (S-boxes) for block ciphers. The confusion creating potential of an S-box depends on its construction technique.

Alkali Ion‐Incorporated HfO2 Dielectrics for Reconfigurable Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents an indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO) transistor with an alkali cation‐integrated hafnium dioxide (HfO2) dielectric exhibiting synaptic behavior via ion retention. The solution‐based film fabrication strategy overcomes the limitations of atomic layer deposition (ALD) and precursor coating, enabling the control of synaptic retention ...

Undecidability of the unification and admissibility problems for modal and description logics

open access: yes, 2006
We show that the unification problem `is there a substitution instance of a given formula that is provable in a given logic?' is undecidable for basic modal logics K and K4 extended with the universal modality.

In Materia Shaping of Randomness with a Standard Complementary Metal‐Oxide‐Semiconductor Transistor for Task‐Adaptive Entropy Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study establishes a materials‐driven framework for entropy generation within standard CMOS technology. By electrically rebalancing gate‐oxide traps and Si‐channel defects in foundry‐fabricated FDSOI transistors, the work realizes in‐materia control of temporal correlation – achieving task adaptive entropy optimization for reinforcement learning ...

DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF TERNARY LOGIC BASED ALU USING DOUBLE PRECISION FLOATING POINT [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings on Engineering Sciences
In digital circuits, particularly space signal applications, the detection/estimation of phase (angle) like milli degree is challenging and involves many complex operations.

Observation of Relativistic Domain Wall Motion in Amorphous Ferrimagnets

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Domain walls in ferrimagnets and antiferromagnets move as relativistic sine‐Gordon solitons, with the spin‐wave velocity setting their speed limit. Such relativistic domain‐wall motion is demonstrated in amorphous GdFeCo near angular momentum compensation, where current‐driven walls reach 90% of the 2 kms−1 spin‐wave speed, enabling ultrafast, device ...

Propositional Logics of Closed and Open Substitutions over Heyting's Arithmetic [PDF]

open access: yesNotre Dame Journal of Formal Logic, 2006
In this note we compare propositional logics for closed substitutions and propositional logics for open substitutions in constructive arithmetical theories. We provide a strong example where these logics diverge in an essential way. We prove that for Markov's Arithmetic, that is, Heyting's Arithmetic plus Markov's principle plus Extended Church's ...
