A Topological Parametric Phonon Oscillator

A topological parametric phonon oscillator is experimentally realized based on a nonlinear nano‐electromechanical Dirac‐vortex cavity with strong squeezed interaction. Fabrication‐disorder‐induced random frequency variation can be suppressed effectively by increasing the cavity size, while the free spectral range reduces at a much slower rate.

Range‐wide intraspecific variation reflects past adaptation to climate in a gypsophile Mediterranean shrub

Despite strong specialization to gypsum soils, past divergent selection related to climatic gradients has driven adaptive population differentiation in Lepidium subulatum. Proteasome composition in immune cells implies special immune‐cell‐specific immunoproteasome function

Immune cells from human peripheral blood and immune cells from murine spleen have been analyzed for their proteasome composition. All analyzed immune populations express almost solely immunoproteasome subunits and rather small proportions of standard proteasome subunits.
