Analgesic Effects of Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation at Different Stimulus Parameters for Neuropathic Pain: A Randomized Study

open access: yesNeuromodulation: Technology at the Neural Interface, EarlyView., 2021
Abstract Objectives The aim of the present study was to investigate the analgesic effects of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation over the primary motor cortex (M1‐rTMS) using different stimulation parameters to explore the optimal stimulus condition for treating neuropathic pain.

Effect of Tai Chi on Young Adults with Subthreshold Depression via a Stress–Reward Complex: A Randomized Controlled Trial

open access: yesSports Medicine - Open, 2023
Background Subthreshold depression is a highly prevalent mood disorder in young adults. Mind–body exercises, such as Tai Chi, have been adopted as interventions for clinical depressive symptoms.

Subthreshold depression in the elderly: Qualitative or quantitative distinction?

open access: yesComprehensive Psychiatry, 2000
Recent studies revealed that subthreshold depression (or "subclinical" or "subsyndromal" depression) can have clinical validity because it is related to dysfunction and disability and is a risk factor for major depression. However, none of these studies focused on old age. Therefore, one aim of the psychiatric part of the multidisciplinary Berlin Aging

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Solution‐Processed Two‐Dimensional Indium Oxide on Sodium‐Embedded Alumina for Reconfigurable Optoelectronic Synaptic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Wafer‐scale two‐dimensioanl In2Se3 oxidized into InOx on sodium‐embedded beta‐alumina enables multifunctional reconfigurable electronics. Sodium ions accumulate within distinct spatial distribution under drain‐controlle and gate‐controlled operation. Drain‐control operation gives controllability of ultraviolet‐driven optoelectronic synaptic conductance

A study of a PERMA-based positive psychological intervention programme in subthreshold depressed patients with newly diagnosed breast cancer: formulation and application

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology
BackgroundDepression seriously affects the quality of life of breast cancer patients and even hinders treatment and recovery after diagnosis. Subthreshold depression should be worthy of attention, and the risk of subthreshold depression developing into ...

Association between subthreshold depression and self-care behaviour in people with type 2 diabetes: a protocol for systematic review of observational studies

open access: yesSystematic Reviews, 2019
Background Depression is a common comorbidity in type 2 diabetes. Studies have consistently shown that major depression is associated with decreased diabetic self-care behaviour.

Neuromorphic Electronics for Intelligence Everywhere: Emerging Devices, Flexible Platforms, and Scalable System Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The perspective presents an integrated view of neuromorphic technologies, from device physics to real‐time applicability, while highlighting the necessity of full‐stack co‐optimization. By outlining practical hardware‐level strategies to exploit device behavior and mitigate non‐idealities, it shows pathways for building efficient, scalable, and ...

Subthreshold Depression in Adolescence and Mental Health Outcomes in Adulthood [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of General Psychiatry, 2005
There is increasing interest in the extent to which individuals with subthreshold depression face increased risks of subsequent major depression and other disorders. To examine linkages between the extent of depressive symptoms (asymptomatic, subthreshold, major depression) at ages 17 to 18 years and mental health outcomes up to age 25 years in a New ...

Neural correlates of negative emotion processing in subthreshold depression

open access: yesSocial Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience, 2022
Abstract Subthreshold depression (SD) is regarded as a major risk factor for major depression. However, little is known about the neural mechanism of negative emotion processing in SD. The study aimed to examine the different neural correlates for negative emotion processing in SD and health controls (HCs) and to investigate changes in ...
