Intravenous arteriography using digital subtraction techniques.
JAMA, 1982The application of digital computers to electronic x-ray imaging devices has rejuvenated interest in the field of intravenous arteriography. By utilizing computer image subtraction techniques, digital roentgenographic systems based on fluoroscopy or computed tomography (scanned projection radiography) provide significantly improved vascular imaging ...

[Digital subtraction technique in dentistry].
Revue belge de medecine dentaire, 2008By computerized subtracting the grey values of geometrically corresponding pixels in consecutively taken digital X-ray images, it is possible to visualize or measure changes in radiodensity over time. This can be very useful, both in clinical and research applications, for the follow-up of tooth mineralization or bone changes. A major problem, however,

A subtraction technique in conventional angiography.
Radiology, 1984A subtraction technique is described for conventional angiography by which a superimposed vessel can be removed, allowing exact visualization of the area in question. The method is easy, requires only standard subtraction apparatus, and obviates the need for additional contrast material injections.

[Dacryocystography in digital subtraction technique].
Aktuelle Radiologie, 1996The authors emphasize the usefulness of dacryography to approach patients affected by epiphora. Digital dacryocystography had improved the anatomic and functional assessment of lacrimal apparatus. The methodology allowed in all patients an accurate visualization of the lacrimal system and the identification, in twenty cases, of pathological causes of ...

Subtractive Hybridization Techniques to Study Cellular Senescence
2007Molecular and cellular processes related to the senescence syndrome are determined by programs of differential gene expression. Subtractive cDNA hybridization is a powerful approach to identify and isolate differentially expressed genes in various systems.
