Analysis of lining force transmission coefficient and surrounding rock displacement in lined rock caverns for underground gas storage

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
This study derives an explicit expression for the lining force transmission coefficient of underground gas storage lined rock caverns (LRCs) via the complex variable function method, considering the displacement release coefficient. Taking the 1‰ tensile strain of surrounding rock as the criterion to determine lining thickness, it systematically ...

Time-dependent longitudinal responses of a shield tunnel induced by surcharge load: Theoretical prediction and analysis

open access: yesUnderground Space
The surcharge load at the ground surface inevitably breaks the original equilibrium state between the underneath tunnel and the surrounding soil, which will impact the service performance of a subway tunnel.

Mitigating surcharge‐induced column‐head cracking in double‐deck shield tunnels using hyperelastic bearing joints

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
A staged three‐dimensional nonlinear soil–structure interaction (SSI) model is established, in which the initial geostress state, tunnel excavation, lining installation, delayed activation of the internal frame, and subsequent surcharge loading are simulated sequentially.

Study on Fluid Pressure in Tubing, Dynamic Stress in Reservoir, and Fracture Propagation Morphology During Variable‐Rate Hydraulic Fracturing

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
Variable‐rate hydraulic fracturing can induce unsteady flow in the tubing, thereby generating fluctuating fluid pressure near the bottom‐hole reservoir. Dynamic stress is generated in the reservoir under the action of fluctuating fluid pressure and propagates as stress waves.

High Precision Prediction Model of Wind Speed for Underground Mine Tunnel by Using ASTF Net

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
This paper proposes an Adaptive Spectral‐Temporal Fusion Net (ASTF‐Net), which features a novel decomposition‐ensemble framework with adaptive feature fusion. This design deliberately balances spectral and temporal features and effectively boosts prediction accuracy in complex ventilation environments. ABSTRACT An Adaptive Spectral‐Temporal Fusion Net (

Displacement Monitoring of Subway Tracks and Tunnels According to Adjacent Construction

open access: yesApplied Sciences
In the Republic of Korea, large-scale deep excavation construction is being conducted adjacent to structures owing to overpopulation in urban areas. Securing the safety of earth-retaining and underground structures is crucial for adjacent excavation work
