Antipredatory Strategies of Anurans: An Updated Conceptual Review

open access: yesEthology, Volume 132, Issue 9, Page 662-708, September 2026.
To unravel the evolutionary dynamics of predator–prey interactions, we propose an updated, three‐tiered classification of anuran antipredatory strategies. By mapping non‐behavioral, individual, and group defenses across five functional phases, this integrative framework introduces the concept of synergetic coupling.

Lost in Projection: Uncertainty is Misrepresented in Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessments

open access: yesRisk Analysis, Volume 46, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT In practice, many climate change risk assessments fail to capture the true depth of uncertainty. Despite widespread scientific recognition of deep uncertainty (large ranges of possibility) in climate conditions, this nuance is often lost in translation to policy and planning contexts; instead, conditions are presented as single projections ...

Rapid UAV‐ and Ground‐Based Magnetic Mapping of Subsurface Fractures During a Volcano‐Tectonic Crisis in Grindavík, Iceland

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 16, 28 August 2026.
Abstract We applied an integrated UAV‐ and ground‐based magnetometry workflow to map shallow subsurface fractures and cavities in the town of Grindavík during the 2023–2025 volcano‐tectonic crisis. Short‐wavelength linear and semi‐circular magnetic lows delineate open or partially open fractures and localized cavities, including features with no ...
