An Area-Efficient Hybrid Polar Decoder With Pipelined Architecture
As the first kind of capacity-achieving forward error correction (FEC) codes, polar codes have attracted much research interest recently. Compared with traditional FEC codes, polar codes show better error correction performance when successive ...

List Decoding of Arıkan’s PAC Codes
Polar coding gives rise to the first explicit family of codes that provably achieve capacity with efficient encoding and decoding for a wide range of channels. However, its performance at short blocklengths under standard successive cancellation decoding

A Split-Reduced Successive Cancellation List Decoder for Polar Codes
This paper focuses on low complexity successive cancellation list (SCL) decoding of polar codes. In particular, using the fact that splitting may be unnecessary when the reliability of decoding the unfrozen bit is sufficiently high, a novel splitting ...

s‐Orbital Mediated Metavalent Bonding Enables State‐Of‐The‐Art n‐Type AgBiSe2 Thermoelectrics
Metavalent bonding (MVB) underpins the exceptional property portfolio of chalcogenides. Typical MVB solids are mainly found in p‐bonded systems. This work reveals that MVB can also be formed with s‐p orbital interactions upon forming a single‐electron σ‐bond, as exemplified in AgBiSe2.

A 506Gbit/s Polar Successive Cancellation List Decoder with CRC [PDF]
Polar codes have recently attracted significant attention due to their excellent error-correction capabilities. However, efficient decoding of Polar codes for high throughput is very challenging. Beyond 5G, data rates towards 1 Tbit/s are expected. Low complexity decoding algorithms like Successive Cancellation (SC) decoding enable such high throughput

Unveiling the Role of Curvature in Carbon for Improved Energy Release of Ammonium Perchlorate
High‐curvature carbon materials identified via machine learning and simulation can enhance the heat release and combustion performance of ammonium perchlorate. ABSTRACT The catalytic role of carbon curvature in the thermal decomposition of ammonium perchlorate (AP) remains largely unexplored. To address this gap, this study employs machine learning and

Joint Source-Channel Decoding of Polar Codes for Language-Based Source
We exploit the redundancy of the language-based source to help polar decoding. By judging the validity of decoded words in the decoded sequence with the help of a dictionary, the polar list decoder constantly detects erroneous paths after every few bits ...
