Scheduling in Dense Small Cells With Successive Interference Cancellation [PDF]
Smart interference management has been receiving attention to improve network throughput. Successive interference cancellation (SIC) is one of the promising techniques, which allows multiple concurrent transmissions from different transmitters to the same receiver. We study the scheduling issue with SIC in dense small cells. This paper proposes a novel

Neural Network Equalizers and Successive Interference Cancellation for Bandlimited Channels with a Nonlinearity [PDF]
Neural networks (NNs) inspired by the forward-backward algorithm (FBA) are used as equalizers for bandlimited channels with a memoryless nonlinearity. The NN-equalizers are combined with successive interference cancellation (SIC) to approach the information rates of joint detection and decoding (JDD) with considerably less complexity than JDD and other

The seed pod valves of Australian Banksia attenuata plants are not simply bi‐layers which bend when dry. These experiments and models reveal complex mechanics, which allow seed release only after several steps of seed pod opening. Stiffness gradients prevent delamination of the valves during loading, and a shape‐memory function protects the seeds ...

A Method in Computing Successive Interference Canceller
Successive Interference Canceller is a multistage approach that sequentially recovers each user from the re- ceived signal. Each stage provides an estimate using the MF detector. The re-modulated signal is subtracted from the original signal and the difference signal becomes the input.

Ergodic Capacity and Outage Performance Analysis of Uplink Full-Duplex Cooperative NOMA System
We propose an uplink full-duplex (FD) cooperative non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) system, where a dedicated Full-duplex (FD) relay is used to help two uplink users transmitting information to the base station.

Maximum Sum Rate of Slotted Aloha With Successive Interference Cancellation [PDF]
This is a sequel of our previous work on characterization of maximum sum rate of slotted Aloha networks. By extending the analysis to incorporate the capacity-achieving receiver structure, successive interference cancellation (SIC), this paper aims to ...
