Tongue reshaping: a new surgical method to prevent self-sucking in dairy cows [PDF]
Self-sucking behaviors lead to substantial milk loss and inflammation of the udder and teats among dairy cows. Both conservative and surgical approaches are available to prevent such behavior; however, the current methods are limited by variable efficacy

A Superlubricated Magnetically Steerable Microcatheter with Integrated Optical and Fluidic Channels
A magnetically steerable microcatheter with integrated optical and fluidic channels is developed for multifunctional navigation in tortuous anatomical environments. A surface‐grafted hydrogel coating enables low‐friction actuation. The device demonstrates stable light and fluid delivery during magnetic manipulation, offering a compact platform for ...

Automated poultry processing lines still rely on humans to lift slippery, easily bruised carcasses onto a shackle conveyor. Deformability, anatomical variance, and hygiene rules make conventional suction and scripted motions unreliable. We present ChicGrasp, an end‐to‐end hardware‐software co‐designed imitation learning framework, to offer a ...

Hybrid Continuum Robot Designs and Architectures for Healthcare Applications
Hybrid continuum robots represent an emerging class of flexible manipulators that blend materials, structures, and actuation concepts from the established fields of soft and continuum robotics. This review introduces an accessible framework to distinguish key hybridization approaches, surveys current designs aimed at complex clinical applications, and ...

Miniaturized Magnetic Tip Design for Endoluminal Vine Robot Navigation
A magnetic tip mount is designed for a miniaturized 7 mm soft‐growing vine robot to enable wireless magnetic steering and onboard imaging, while preserving a 3 mm working channel. The internal–external ring magnets design balances magnetic attachment with low eversion pressure. Experiments demonstrate ±90° steering, 34 mm bending radius, and successful

ABNORMAL SUCKING BEHAVIOR IN CNS-DAMAGED PREMATURE INFANTS [PDF]
Sucking behavior in growing premature infants has received little attention. Non-nutritive (NNS) and nutritive (NS) sucking was measured by suckometer 30 minutes prior to routine feedings, in 11 premature, AGA infants at 5-12 weeks of age, mean corrected age (C.A.) = 39-40 weeks.
