ラット小腸粘膜からスクラーゼ・イソマルターゼ複合体を精製し, パラチノースの水解様式を検討した。1) パラチノースの水解能はスクラーゼ, イソマルターゼ複合体の精製に伴って増大した。2) スクラーゼ・イソマルターゼ複合体によって, パラチノースはイソマルトースと拮抗的に水解され。3) パラチノースの水解能は, イソマルターゼ活性と同様にacarboseによって阻害を受けなかった。それゆえ, パラチノースはスクラーゼ・イソマルターゼ複合体のイソマルターゼ活性部位によって水解されることが明らかにされた。
