Air travel by adults with pulmonary disease requires pre-flight medical evaluation and baseline medical examinations to ensure safe travel. We present a case of sudden death on an aeroplane caused by tension pneumothorax, in a patient with known pulmonary disease.

Non‐Invasive Diagnosis of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy by Breath

The use of sensor technologies for the diagnosis of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) by identification of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in breath samples. By combining gas chromatography‐mass spectrometry (GC‐MS) and electronic nose (eNose) platforms, specific VOC patterns associated with HCM are detected and analyzed.

We study the effects of decoherence on the entanglement generated by Unruh effect in noninertial frames by using bit flip, phase damping and depolarizing channels. It is shown that decoherence strongly influences the initial state entanglement.
