Degradation of Entanglement in Markovian Noise
The entanglement survival time is defined as the maximum time a system which is evolving under the action of local Markovian, homogenous in time noise, is capable to preserve the entanglement it had at the beginning of the temporal evolution.

On 3‐MMC: A Cathinone I Have Come to Know and Love
ABSTRACT This article attempts to complicate the mythology of a compound in a state of becoming. I will trace lightly its origins as a cultural disruptor and how I am implicated in this imperative. Introducing you to 3‐MMC will require multiple modes of storytelling and taking of liberties, drawing on literature reviews, practice‐based research, prose,

Nonexistence of Entanglement Sudden Death in High NOON States
We study the dynamics of entanglement in continuous variable quantum systems (CVQS). Specifically, we study the phenomena of Entanglement Sudden Death (ESD) in general two-mode-N-photon states undergoing pure dephasing. We show that for these states, ESD never occurs. These states are generalizations of the so-called High NOON states, shown to decrease

‘Escaping Isn't for Everyone’: Kurdish Smugglers’ Navigational Tactics at Checkpoints in Iran
ABSTRACT This article examines how Kurdish smugglers navigate state and insurgent checkpoints in the borderlands of western Iran. Drawing on ethnographic research, it analyses two key navigational tactics: persin, a form of negotiated passage involving transaction, recognition and the contingent toleration of authority; and jimi, rendered here as ...

Life‐cycle living standards of male‐headed households: Evidence from Stockholm, 1800–80
Abstract Recent research in economic history argues for using a household life cycle standard‐of‐living approach that includes the income and expenses of all household members and considers fluctuations in the household over the life course. This study builds on that approach by empirically examining the development of living standards in male‐headed ...

Early‐Life Disaster Exposure and the Investment Response to Monetary Policy
ABSTRACT We place CEOs' formative experiences at the center of analyzing how firms respond to monetary policy. Specifically, we examine how early‐life exposure to natural disasters shapes CEOs’ investment behavior following monetary shocks. CEOs with exposure to moderate natural disasters during their formative years exhibit stronger risk‐taking ...
