From Suffix Trees to Suffix Vectors
International Journal of Foundations of Computer Science, 2006We present a first formal setting for suffix vectors that are space economical alternative data structures to suffix trees. We give two linear algorithms for converting a suffix tree into a suffix vector and conversely. We enrich suffix vectors with formulas for counting the number of occurrences of repeated substrings.

Suffix cactus: A cross between suffix tree and suffix array
1995The suffix cactus is a new alternative to the suffix tree and the suffix array as an index of large static texts. Its size and its performance in searches lies between those of the suffix tree and the suffix array. Structurally, the suffix cactus can be seen either as a compact variation of the suffix tree or as an augmented suffix array.

An analysis of simplex words formed historically with -ro- shows that the adjectives are overwhelmingly accented on the final syllable.

We introduce the VST (virtual suffix tree), an efficient data structure for suffix trees and suffix arrays. Starting from the suffix array, we construct the suffix tree, from which we derive the virtual suffix tree. Later, we remove the intermediate step of suffix tree construction, and build the VST directly from the suffix array. The VST provides the

The status of “mobile” suffixes
2006Abstract Verbal suffixes that encode grammatical notions of mood, modality, tense, aspect, and voice have been found to obey a relative order that is largely consistent across languages (Bybee 1985).1 This order appears to reflect, in a mirror fashion, that of the corresponding free morphemes (auxiliaries and particles), in VO languages,

IS GENITIVE SUFFIX A CASE SUFFIX?
2017There is not a common consensus about whether genitive suffix is one of case suffixes. Linguists like Banguoglu, Ergin, Korkmaz, Lubimov, Karaagac, Hengirmen, and Topaloglu regard genitive suffix as a case suffix at all while Ediskun, Bilgegil, Gencan, Gulsevin, Buran, Delice, and Demiray do not accept.
