Axion cosmology with multi-branch Yang-Mills

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
It is known that Yang-Mills theories, especially in the large-N limit, exhibit a θ-vacuum structure with a multi-branched vacuum energy. In this work, we demonstrate that this multi-branch structure can play a crucial role in axion cosmology when the ...

Comparison of Fuzzy Logic and PID Control in H‐Bridge Inverter: Performance Analysis and Response Optimization

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 2, February 2026.
Under identical conditions, we benchmark PID against Fuzzy‐Logic control for a single‐phase H‐bridge inverter. FLC achieves faster rise/settling with lower THD and better disturbance rejection than tuned PID while requiring explicit rule design—offering a reproducible baseline and deployment guidance for power‐quality‐constrained inverter applications.

Navigating the Stormy Waters of Regulation: An Agent‐Based Modeling and Decision‐Support Framework for Groundwater Compliance and Enforcement

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 62, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract Water resources sustainability hinges upon an efficient and effective regulatory compliance and enforcement strategy that steers the collective actions of interdependent stakeholders. Achieving this goal is particularly challenging for groundwater due to its hidden nature, significant knowledge gaps about its state, its status as a common‐pool

Does Context Matter? ESG‐Contingent Effects of Board Cultural Diversity on Corporate Capital Investments

open access: yesCorporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, Volume 33, Issue 1, Page 236-259, January 2026.
ABSTRACT This study investigates how board cultural diversity and the moderating role of ESG performance affect corporate capital investment activity, proxied by the net investment ratio, in European listed non‐financial companies from 2014 to 2023. It explores these dynamics considering institutional differences across Anglo‐Saxon, continental, and ...

Can wood-decaying urban macrofungi be identified by using fuzzy interference system? An example in Central European Ganoderma species

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Ganoderma is a cosmopolitan genus of wood-decaying basidiomycetous macrofungi that can rot the roots and/or lower trunk. Among the standing trees, their presence often indicates that a hazard assessment may be necessary.
