Compliance With NICE Guidance for Cervical Spine Trauma Imaging: A Single Centre Retrospective Evaluation

This study found that only two‐thirds of patients were managed in accordance with national guidance for C‐spine trauma, with younger patients more likely to have X‐rays rather than CT. Inappropriate imaging carries radiation dose implications and delays in care with subsequent risks, particularly where immobilisation is utilised.
