Land suitability and urban growth modeling: Development of SLEUTH-Suitability
Computers, Environment and Urban Systems, 2020Abstract Land suitability is one of the important variables influencing urbanization and needs to be considered in urban growth simulation and modeling. The present study is aimed to introduce land suitability which is a function of a few important urbanization explanatory drivers into an urban growth model for realistic urban growth simulation ...

In this paper, we propose the concept of logically aggregated geographic suitability maps (LSP-maps). The goal of LSP-maps is to provide specialized maps of the suitability degree of a selected geographic region for a specific purpose. There is a wide spectrum of purposes which include suitability for industrial development, agriculture, housing ...

Abstract This chapter begins with a discussion of the suitability doctrine. The duty owed by broker-dealers is one of suitability when doing business with the general public; this was added to the Exchange Act with the adoption of the Securities Act of 1993.

Montgomery-suitable cryptosystems
1994Montgomery's algorithm [8], hereafter denoted Mn(·,·), is a process for computing Mn(A,B)=ABN mod n where N is a constant factor depending only on n. Usually, AB mod n is obtained by Mn(Mn(A,B),N−2 mod n) but in this article, we introduce an alternative approach consisting in pre-integrating N into cryptographic keys so that a single Mn(·,·) will ...

Suitable Norms for Simultaneous Approximation
Acta Mathematica Hungarica, 1997The most common way to study simultaneous approximation of two points \(x,y\) of a normed linear space \(E\) from a subset \(M\) of \(E\), is to consider a suitable norm in \(E\times E\) (for instance, \(\| (u,v)\| =\sup(\| u\| ,\| v\|)\), \(\| (u,v)\| =\| u\| +\| v\|)\) and to reduce this problem to the ordinary approximation of the single point \((x ...

How suitable are the suitability petition and 505(b)(2)?
Journal of Generic Medicines: The Business Journal for the Generic Medicines Sector, 2011Two routes are well known for filing the variation from the approved RLD as a generic player in the US market that is, filing an Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) following the approval of Suitability Petition (SP) filing and another is filing New Drug Application (NDA) inline with 505(b)(2) of the act.

Deciding on suitability for treatment
Journal of Evaluation in Clinical Practice, 2013AbstractThis paper considers a particular argument from statistics, which concerns a treatment that is self‐administered: it is argued that, since whenever the treatment is undertaken by people over 60, they fail to do it properly and incur grave infections; it should be withheld from this age group.

We investigate both iteration hypotheses and extender models at the level of one supercompact cardinal. The HOD Conjecture is introduced and shown to be a key conjecture both for the Inner Model Program and for understanding the limits of the large cardinal hierarchy.
