High temperature regenerative H.sub.2 S sorbents [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
Efficient, regenerable sorbents for removal of H.sub.2 S from high temperature gas streams comprise porous, high surface area particles. A first class of sorbents comprise a thin film of binary oxides that form a eutectic at the temperature of the gas ...

Concise Total Synthesis of (+)-Luteoalbusins A and B [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The first total synthesis of (+)-luteoalbusins A and B is described. Highly regio- and diastereoselective chemical transformations in our syntheses include a Friedel–Crafts C3-indole addition to a cyclotryptophan-derived diketopiperazine, a late-stage ...

High‐Yield Synthesis of Fe‐NC Electrocatalysts Using Mg2+ Templating and Schiff‐Base Porous Organic Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fe─NC porous oxygen reduction electrocatalysts are prepared employing a 2,4,6‐Triaminopyrimidine‐based porous organic polymer, a Mg2+ Lewis acid, and a low‐temperature cation exchange protocol. Using the polymer precursor achieves high pyrolysis yields and results in atomically dispersed FeNx sites. The resulting catalysts feature hierarchical porosity

Corrosion of 310 stainless steel in H2-H2O-H2S gas mixtures: Studies at constant temperature and fixed oxygen potential [PDF]

open access: yes
Corrosion of SAE 310 stainless steel in H2-H2O-H2S gas mixtures was studied at a constant temperature of 1150 K. Reactive gas mixtures were chosen to yield a constant oxygen potential of approximately 6 x 10 to the minus 13th power/cu Nm and sulfur ...

Erosion/corrosion of turbine airfoil materials in the high-velocity effluent of a pressurized fluidized coal combustor [PDF]

open access: yes
Four candidate turbine airfoil superalloys were exposed to the effluent of a pressurized fluidized bed with a solids loading of 2 to 4 g/scm for up to 100 hours at two gas velocities, 150 and 270 m/sec, and two temperatures, 730 deg and 795 C.

Late Cretaceous structural control and Alpine overprint of the high-sulfidation Cu-Au epithermal Chelopech deposit, Srednogorie belt, Bulgaria [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The Chelopech epithermal high-sulfidation deposit is located in the Panagyurishte ore district in Bulgaria, which is defined by a NNW alignment of Upper Cretaceous porphyry-Cu and Cu-Au epithermal deposits, and forms part of the Eastern European Banat ...

Three‐dimensional Antimony Sulfide Based Flat Optics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents the development of a grayscale electron beam lithography (g‐EBL) method for fabricating antimony trisulfide (Sb2S3) nanostructures with customizable 3D profiles. The refractive index of g‐EBL patterned Sb2S3 is determined based on the synergy of genetic algorithm and transfer matrix method.

Effects of silicon additions on oxidation and mechanical behavior of the nickel-base superalloy B-1900 [PDF]

open access: yes
Test specimens with nominal additions of Si were tested in oxidation, thermal fatigue, sulfidation, tension, and stress rupture, and were also extensively studied metallographically.
