Multi‐Pathway Upconversion Emission in Symmetry‐Broken Nanocavities: Broadband Multiresonant Enhancement and Anti‐Correlated Interfacial Sensitivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Symmetry‐broken plasmonic nanoantenna arrays achieve broadband multiresonant enhancement of second harmonic generation (SHG), third harmonic generation (THG), and upconversion photoluminescence (UCPL), under femtosecond laser excitation across the near‐infrared range (1000–1600 nm).

Modeling the Effect of Dissolved Hydrogen Sulfide on Mg2+-water Complex on Dolomite {104} Surfaces [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Physical Chemistry C 118.29 (2014): 15716-15722, 2016
The key kinetic barrier to dolomite formation is related to the surface Mg2+-H2O complex, which hinders binding of surface Mg2+ ions to the CO3 2- ions in solution. It has been proposed that this reaction can be catalyzed by dissolved hydrogen sulfide.

Normal State of the Metallic Hydrogen Sulfide [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Generalized theory of the normal properties of the metal in the case of the electron-phonon (EP) systems with not constant density of electronic states is used to examine the normal state of the SH3 and SH2 phase of the hydrogen sulfide at different pressures.

MICROBIOLOGICAL OXIDATION OF SULFIDES PRESENT IN REFINERY SOUR WATERS BY FIXED BED REACTORS

open access: yesCT&F Ciencia, Tecnología & Futuro, 1999
Agroup of native bacteria with a sulfide oxidation capacity was isolated at the Instituto Colombiano del Petróleo (ICP). The bacteria were immobilized in an inert inorganic support of sintered glass that was used to evaluate a fixed packed column system ...

Geophysical modeling in gold deposit through DC Resistivity and Induced Polarization methods

open access: yesREM: International Engineering Journal
Ore mining fundamentally depends on the definition of its tenor and volume, something extremely complex in disseminated mineralization, as in the case of certain types of deposits of gold and sulfites.

NaSH-HCl mediated reduction of sulfoxides into sulfides under organic solvent-free reaction conditions

open access: yesGreen Chemistry Letters and Reviews, 2020
NaSH·H2O and 37% aqueous solution of HCl were employed in reduction of sulfoxides to sulfides at room or elevated temperature in the absence of organic reducing agent and solvent-free reaction conditions. Operationally simple transformation took place in

A Strong and Water‐Retaining Biomass Adhesive Inspired by Tofu

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Drawing inspiration from the formation mechanism of the traditional food tofu, a strong and water‐retaining adhesive is designed using the soybean meal (SM) oxidized by glucose oxidase (GOx) and calcium sulfate oligomer (CSO). This design strategy effectively addresses the conflicting requirements of water‐resistant bonding strength and water retention

Iodine-Mediated Difunctionalization of Imidazopyridines with Sodium Sulfinates: Synthesis of Sulfones and Sulfides.

open access: yesJournal of Organic Chemistry, 2018
Novel iodine-induced sulfonylation and sulfenylation of imidazopyridines have been described using sodium sulfinates as the sulfur source. This strategy enables highly selective difunctionalization of imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine to access sulfones and ...
