Catalytic Ozonation of Sulfosalicylic Acid

Ozone: Science & Engineering, 2002
Abstract The investigation of heterogeneous catalytic ozonation of sulfosalicylic acid (SSal) in aqueous solution is reported in this paper. It was found that catalytic ozonation in the presence of V-O supported on silica gel had a more positive effect on the removal rate (62% in 30 min) of total organic carbon (TOC) than that of ozonation alone (20 ...

Spectrophotometric determination of cobalt with sulfosalicylic acid

Mikrochimica Acta, 1974
A spectrophotometric procedure is presented for the determination of cobalt as the cobalt(II)-5-sulfosalicylic acid complex. Absorbance measurements at 325 nm in solutions adjusted to pH 9.0 with ammonium hydroxide and containing boric acid-potassium chloride-sodium hydroxide buffer obey Beer's law for concentrations up to 40.0μg of cobalt per ml.

Structure of 5-sulfosalicylic acid pentahydrate

Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 1990

Photochemistry of sulfosalicylic acid in aqueous solutions

Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology A: Chemistry, 2004
Abstract Nanosecond laser flash photolysis (XeCl, 308 nm), optical spectroscopy, fluorescence, and time-resolved chemically induced nuclear polarization (CIDNP) were used to determine photophysical and photochemical processes for 5-sulfosalicylic acid dianion (HSSA2−) in aqueous solutions and frozen matrices. The triplet–triplet absorption (TTA) band

Two salts of 5-sulfosalicylic acid and 3-aminopyridine

Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 2007
5-Sulfosalicylic acid (5-SSA) and 3-aminopyridine (3-APy) crystallize in the same solvent system, resulting in two kinds of 1:1 proton-transfer organic adduct, namely 3-aminopyridinium 3-carboxy-4-hydroxybenzenesulfonate monohydrate, C(5)H(7)N(2)(+).C(7)H(5)O(6)S(-).H(2)O or 3-APy.5-SSA.H(2)O, (I), and the anhydrous adduct, C(5)H(7)N(2)(+).C(7)H(5)O(6 ...

Synthesis and characterization of conducting polyaniline 5-sulfosalicylate nanotubes

Nanotechnology, 2008
Conducting polyaniline 5-sulfosalicylate nanotubes and nanorods were synthesized by the template-free oxidative polymerization of aniline in aqueous solution of 5-sulfosalicylic acid, using ammonium peroxydisulfate as an oxidant. The effect of the molar ratio of 5-sulfosalicylic acid to aniline on the molecular structure, molecular weight distribution,

A Polarographic Study of Uranyl‐Sulfosalicylate Complex

Journal of the Chinese Chemical Society, 1959
AbstractPolarographic studies of uranyl perchlorate in the presence of an excess of sulfosalicylate have given an information for the complex formation of the 1: 1 uranyl sulfosalicylate at pH 4.68, corresponding to the reaction:U[VI]: sulfosalicylate + H+ + e → U[V]: sulfosalicylate Above pH 4.9, however, the polarographic wave splitted into two ...

Leaching of malachite using 5-sulfosalicylic acid

Journal of the Taiwan Institute of Chemical Engineers, 2017
Abstract In this study, an attractive organic complexation reaction reagent with copper ions was developed for copper leaching from copper oxide ores. The possible chemical reactions of 5-sulfosalicylic acid (5-SSA) in the malachite aqueous solution were determined.

Delayed Reaction of Bence Jones Proteins to Sulfosalicylic Acid

American Journal of Clinical Pathology, 1986
The present investigation was undertaken in order to elucidate the delayed reaction of Bence Jones proteins to sulfosalicylic acid. The author observed this interesting phenomenon in 2 of 32 untreated patients with multiple myeloma who excreted Bence Jones proteins.
