New Developments in Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry for the Determination of Micropollutants

open access: yesChromatography Research International, Volume 2012, Issue 1, 2012., 2012
The combination of liquid chromatography (LC) with mass spectrometry (MS) in the environmental field has appeared as a valuable tool for the determination of micropollutants. Several groups of compounds have been considered as particularly relevant (e.g., pharmaceuticals, hormones and other endocrine‐disrupting, personal care products and their ...

Tin‐Based Antitumour Drugs: New Developments

open access: yesMetal-Based Drugs, Volume 2, Issue 2, Page 99-103, 1995., 1995
An overview of the in vitro test results on several human tumour cell lines of several series of organotin compounds synthesized at the Free University of Brussels VUB. Several compounds exhibit excellent antitumour activities. in vivo screening also gave very promising results.

Turbidimetric Determination of Proteins with Sulfosalicylic and Trichloracetic Acids

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1956
SummaryThe turbidity produced by addition of sulfosalicylic acid to a solution of a mixture of proteins is correlated with the A/ G ratio. No correlation is apparent when trichloracetic acid is employed. It is suggested, therefore, that trichloracetic acid should supplant sulfosalicylic acid in turbidi-metric methods for the determination of protein.

Micro/Nanofibers for Flexible, Stretchable, and Strain‐Insensitive Wearable Electronics‐ A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, Volume 4, Issue 2, February 2025.
This review highlights the development of strain‐insensitive, flexible, and stretchable wearable electronics using micro‐ and nanofiber‐based approaches. Emphasizing the role of single free‐standing microfibers (SFMs) and nanofibers (NFs), it explores materials, fabrication techniques, and innovative architectures that maintain functionality under ...

Structural Chemistry of Titanium (IV) Oxo Clusters, Part 2: Clusters without Carboxylate or Phosphonate Ligands

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 30, Issue 31, June 3, 2024.
This review completes a series of three articles which provide a comprehensive coverage of the structural chemistry of polynuclear titanium oxo compounds. The interplay of structure‐influencing coordination characteristics of the ligands and preferred arrangement of the Ti/O polyhedra in the cluster cores is worked out.

Identity and instability of the beryllium sulfosalicylate complex [PDF]

open access: yes, 1950
The spectrophotometric properties of t he Leryllium-sulfosalicylate complex are described. It is shown that sulfosalicylic acid from commerical sources is either 5-sulfosalicylic acid, or, a t least for t he purposes of complex formation with beryllium ...

A new sensor for direct potentiometric determination of thiabendazole in fruit peels using the Gran method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
A new sensor for direct potentiometric determination of thiabendazole (TBZ) was prepared. The ionic pair of TBZ cation and the 5-sulfosalicylate anion was used as the new sensor material incorporated in liquid type of ionselective electrode membrane for
