Mechanistic Dichotomy in Enantioselective Pd‐Catalyzed Alkylation of Pyrroles With Diazoesters
Ligand‐controlled mechanistic divergence controls the Pd‐catalyzed asymmetric alkylation of pyrroles with diazoesters. While bipyridine ligands promote a conventional metal‐carbene pathway, bipyridine‐N,N′‐dioxide ligands redirect catalysis through electrophilic CH metalation before carbene transfer.

Abstract This study evaluates the potential of a new organic fertilizer derived from porcine intestinal mucosa (designated BHE), a by‐product of the heparin extraction process, as a sustainable nitrogen (N) source for agriculture. The work was conducted in two stages: (i) chemical and spectroscopic characterization of BHE compared with poultry litter ...

Sensitivity of mosses to sulfur dioxide
Oecologia, 1974Seven North American moss species responded differentially to fumigations with sulfur dioxide ranging from 0.5 to 4.0 ppm. Leucobryum glaucum and Dicranum scoparium were the most sensitive species; Dicranella heterophylla, Polytrichum ohioense and Pottia truncata, the most resistant.

Biochemistry of bisulfite-sulfur dioxide
Environmental Research, 1975An analysis of the metabolic transformations of sulfur dioxide is made. Then, the biochemical reactivity of two of its forms, bisulfite and S-thiosulfates, is surveyed in order to provide a view of the potential reactivity of sulfur dioxide with biological systems. Finally, these findings are used as a model for the consideration of threshold responses
