Interferometric Measurements of Isotherms of Sulfur Hexafluoride in the Critical Region

open access: yes, 1972
Isotherms of sulfur hexafluoride in the critical region have been determined by interferometric measurements. A thin sample of pure fluid, compressed under its own weight, is placed in one arm of a Mach–Zehnder interferometer. The resulting interference

Genetic Parameters of Methane Emission, Feed Efficiency, Feeding Behaviour, and Growth Traits in Beef Cattle

open access: yesJournal of Animal Breeding and Genetics, Volume 143, Issue 4, Page 496-507, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Climate change has intensified the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, particularly methane (CH4) from enteric fermentation. Genetic selection has emerged as a promising mitigation strategy; however, studies on Bos taurus indicus, especially Nellore cattle, remain limited.

Temperature dependence in the multiphoton dissociation of sulfur-32 hexafluoride

open access: yes
The multiphoton dissocn. of 32SF6 at 10.59 mm was studied as a function of temp. between 223 and 413 K. The obsd. decrease of the reaction yield with increasing temp. varied strongly with the laser energy fluence at the applied conditions.

Optical third‐harmonic generation in the fluorinated methanes and sulfur hexafluoride [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
Optical third‐harmonic generation experiments are used to determine nonlinear polarizabilities for the fluorinated methanes and sulfur hexafluoride. An ambiguity present in previous measurements of third‐harmonic generation in gases is resolved.Peer ...

Influence of Xenon–Fluorine–Sulfur Hexafluoride (Xe+–F−–SF6−) and Argon-Fluorine-Sulfur Hexafluoride (Ar+–F−–SF6−) Streaming on Dust Surface Potential (DSP) That Has Cairn–Tsallis Distributed Plasmas

open access: yes, 2022
The dust grain surface potential is examined analytically and numerically in dusty plasmas containing negative/positive ion species by using the Cairn Tsallis (non-Maxwellian) dusty plasma. The equations for the dust-charging process are derived to solve

Renal Perfusion in Healthy Horses: A Feasibility Study With Contrast‐Enhanced Ultrasound

open access: yesVeterinary Radiology &Ultrasound, Volume 67, Issue 4, July 2026.
ABSTRACT This study assessed the feasibility of contrast‐enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) for evaluating renal perfusion in horses and compared perfusion parameters between age groups. In a prospective study, eight healthy horses were divided into young (3–5 years, n = 4) and old (16–17 years, n = 4) groups.

Anthropogenic Carbon Isotope Signals in North Atlantic Water Masses at 48°N

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 11, 16 June 2026.
Abstract Deep‐water masses are formed in the North‐Atlantic, making studies of δ13C of dissolved CO2 in this region key to monitor and understand the spreading of anthropogenic carbon into the ocean interior. The objective of this study is to quantify the Suess effect (SE) in North Atlantic water masses using sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) as the ...

ppb-Level SO2 Photoacoustic Sensor for SF6 Decomposition Analysis Utilizing a High-Power UV Laser with a Power Normalization Method

open access: yesSensors
A highly sensitive sulfur dioxide (SO2) photoacoustic gas sensor was developed for the sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) decomposition detection in electric power systems by using a novel 266 nm low-cost high-power solid-state pulse laser and a high Q-factor ...

Fluorine‐Doping of Mesoporous TiO2 Enables Efficient Defect Passivation for High‐Efficiency and Stable Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 33, 15 June 2026.
We introduce an SF6 RIE plasma fluorination method for mesoporous TiO2, suppressing oxygen vacancies and improving charge extraction. The fluorinated TiO2 promotes uniform FAPbI3 film formation and enhances device performance under both one‐sun and indoor illumination.
