Halide-Accelerated Acyl Fluoride Formation Using Sulfuryl Fluoride

Organic Letters, 2020
Herein, we report a new one-pot sequential method for SO2F2-mediated nucleophilic acyl substitution reactions starting from carboxylic acids. A mechanistic study revealed that SO2F2-mediated acid activation proceeds via the anhydride, which is then converted to the corresponding acyl fluoride.

Reactions of imidobis(sulfuryl fluoride) and N-chloroimidobis(sulfuryl fluoride) with olefins

Journal of Fluorine Chemistry, 1981
Abstract Reactions of HN(SO2F)2 and ClN(SO2F)2 with cis -and trans -(CH3)CHCH(CH3), H2CCF2, and cis CHFCHF have been studied. The addition of ClN(SO2F)2 with cis -and trans -(CH3)CHCH(CH3) is stereospecific and trans while the addition to cis -CHFCHF is non-stereospecific.

Sorption of sulfuryl fluoride by food commodities

Pest Management Science, 2008
AbstractBACKGROUND: The use of sulfuryl fluoride, a structural fumigant for termite and woodborer control, has recently been expanded to treating stored food commodities and food facilities. There is, however, a lack of data on the sorption of sulfuryl fluoride by food commodities.

ChemInform Abstract: REACTIONS OF IMIDOBIS(SULFURYL FLUORIDE) AND N‐CHLOROIMIDOBIS(SULFURYL FLUORIDE) WITH OLEFINS

Chemischer Informationsdienst, 1981

Telomerization of vinylidene fluoride with sulfuryl chloride fluoride

Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR Division of Chemical Science, 1979
1. The products of the radical telomerization of vinylidene fluoride with FSO2C1, which contain one, two, and three monomeric units in the chain, were isolated. 2. Besides the telomer homologs with the usual structure, the telomer FSO2CH2CF2CF2CH2-CH2CF2Cl, with a reverse addition of the central monomeric unit, is also formed. 3.

Synthesis of Arenesulfonyl Fluorides via Sulfuryl Fluoride Incorporation from Arynes

Organic Letters, 2018
Transition-metal-free multicomponent reactions involving aryne precursors, secondary amines, and sulfuryl fluoride are reported herein. Zwitterionic intermediates formed from the reaction of arynes with amine nucleophiles can capture SO2F2 under mild conditions, offering a novel and practical protocol for the synthesis of 2-dialkyl-, 2-alkylaryl-, or 2-

Suicide by Exposure to Sulfuryl Fluoride

Journal of Forensic Sciences, 1986
Abstract The insecticide fumigant, sulfuryl fluoride, was used as an instrument of self destruction in at least two of the three fatal exposures detailed in this report. The autopsy findings, while nonspecific, have a confirmatory value.
