Indolylarylsulfones, a fascinating story of highly potent human immunodeficiency virus type 1 non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors [PDF]
Indolylarylsulfones are a potent class of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors. In this review, the structure activity relationship (SAR) studies to improve the profile of sulfone L-737,126 discovered by ...

This study demonstrates the controlled functionalization of a SOF ligand at a platinum center, achieving the selective formation of SO2F and SOF2 complexes by fluorination or oxygenation. Further fluorination of the SOF2 ligand resulted in an unprecedented SOF3 metal derivative, which is a unique example of a high‐valent fluorinated sulfur atom ...

New pre-ventilation techniques to eliminate hazardous chemicals in container air [PDF]
In our research at Karolinska Institutet, we have found that one out of eight shipping containers arriving in Sweden had high levels of hazardous chemicals (exceeding the Swedish occupational exposure limit), including carcinogens, in the air.

Sulfuryl Fluoride Mediated Conversion of Aldehydes to Nitriles
AbstractAliphatic, aromatic, and heteroaromatic aldehydes were readily converted to corresponding nitriles in a one‐pot reaction sequence with hydroxylamine and sulfuryl fluoride. The reaction proceeds at room temperature, does not require metal catalysts and special precautions, and produces nitriles in excellent yields.

Palladium‐Catalyzed Allylation of (Hetero)Aryl Fluorosulfates
The palladium‐catalyzed allylation of (hetero)aryl fluorosulfates is described using either allyl pinacolboronate or potassium allyltrifluoroborate as the allyl source, thereby affording allyl‐(hetero)arene products in synthetically useful isolated yields, including examples featuring potentially reactive chloro groups.

ABSTRACT Long‐lasting insecticide‐incorporated netting (LLIN) can intercept insects and has shown promise for pest management before and after harvest in agriculture. Understanding how to incorporate LLIN into existing integrated pest management (IPM) programs, with other commonly used tactics like residual contact insecticides, can significantly ...

Estimating the State of Charge in Lithium Primary Batteries: Recent Advances and Critical Insights
Existing nondestructive state‐of‐charge estimation techniques for nonrechargeable lithium batteries are compared. In this review, it is revealed that established methods for prediction exist for lithium rechargeable cells, while nonrechargeable batteries lack such maturity in prediction methods.

Degradation of sulfuryl fluoride by dielectric barrier discharge synergistically with reactive gas
SO2F2 is widely used as a fumigant pesticide owing to its strong diffusion permeability, low residue, and high insecticidal speed. However, the strong greenhouse effect limits its application, and harmless treatment is also one of the problems ...

Residues of biocides and pesticides in stored product protection (SPP) available active substances, specific problems [PDF]
To meet the high quality criteria for food, very effective methods are needed to control insects and other pests during storage. Chemical SPP products are widely used for this purpose. However, the number of active substances which may legally be used in
