Discrete Fourier transform using summation by parts
ICASSP '87. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2005An algorithm for evaluating the Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) at particular output frequency is derived using a technique called summation by parts (SBP). This technique is shown to reduce the number of multiplications and the number of bits per multiplicative coefficient needed to implement the DFT.

Generalized Summation-by-Parts Operators for the Second Derivative
SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing, 2015Summary: The generalization of summation-by-parts operators for the first derivative of \textit{D. C. Del Rey Fernández} et al. [J. Comput. Phys. 266, 214--239 (2014; Zbl 1311.65002)] is extended to approximations of second derivatives with a constant or variable coefficient. This enables the construction of second-derivative operators with one or more
