CSF Monoamine Metabolites and Cognitive Trajectory in Early Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Imaging and postmortem studies indicate that abnormalities in monoaminergic neurotransmission contribute to cognitive impairment in Parkinson's disease (PD). However, it remains uncertain if cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) monoamine metabolites can serve as biomarkers of cognitive decline in early PD.

Bisection Series Approach for Exotic 3F2(1)-Series

open access: yesMathematics
By employing the bisection series approach, two classes of nonterminating 3F2(1)-series are examined. Several new summation formulae are established in closed form through the summation formulae of Gauss and Kummer for the 2F1(±1)-series.

On a new class of summation formulae involving the Laguerre polynomial [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
By elementary manipulation of series, a general transformation involving the generalized hypergeometric function is established. Kummer’s first theorem, the classical Gauss summation theorem and the generalized Kummer summation theorem due to Lavoie et ...

Choroid Plexus Enlargement and USPIO‐Based Inflammatory Feature in Cerebral Small Vessel Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective The choroid plexus (CP) is a key component of the blood–cerebrospinal fluid barrier (BCSFB), but its mechanism of action in cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) remains unclear. This study investigated CP volume (CPV) alterations and their association with conventional imaging markers in CSVD and explored the underlying role of ...

Summation and the Poisson formula [PDF]

open access: yesResearch in the Mathematical Sciences, 2020
By giving the definition of the sum of a series indexed by a set on which a group acts, we prove that the sum of the series that defines the Riemann zeta function, the Epstein zeta function, and a few other series indexed by $\Z^k$ has an intrinsic meaning as a complex number, independent of the requirements of analytic continuation.

Summation formulae for finite cotangent sums

open access: yes, 2009
Recently, a half-dozen remarkably general families of the finite trigonometric sums were summed in closed-form by choosing a particularly convenient integration contour and making use of the calculus of residues.

Uncovering G Protein‐Coupled Receptors: Novel Targets and Biomarkers for Predicting Glioma Prognosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Low‐grade gliomas (LGG) exhibit significant heterogeneity and recurrence risk. G protein‐coupled receptors (GPCR) contribute to glioma malignant progression, but their prognostic value remains unclear. This work attempts to formulate a GPCR‐based outcome‐predicting model for LGG. Methods Based on TCGA LGG data, the enrichment scores

Some Infinite Summation Formulae Involving Kampe de Feriet Function

open access: yes, 2014
Two infinite summation formulae for Kampe de Feriet function have been established and results are generalised by applying operational technique and method of finite mathematical induction.

Biopsychosocial Determinants of Hand Function and Its Trajectories Over Five Years in Patients With Hand Osteoarthritis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective This study aimed to investigate hand function trajectories over five years in primary hand osteoarthritis (OA). Additionally, determinants of baseline and longitudinal hand function were assessed. Methods A total of 538 patients with both baseline and five‐year study visits were analyzed.
