Fully 3D‐Printed Wave‐Wound Electromagnetic Motors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work presents the first fully 3D‐printed wave‐wound electromagnetic motors, which are created using conductive nanoparticle inks, carbon‐filled nylon polymers, and surface mount components. These motors can achieve a stall torque of 7.62N·mmA−1$7.62 \nobreakspace N{\cdot }mm A^{-1}$ and efficiency of 28.2 %, which approaches the performance of ...

Coupling of Er3+ ions and Plasmonic Modes in Vertical Nanocavities for Spectral Broadening in Telecom Bands

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Left: Illustration of the glass & nanostructures system and the NIR emission at 1.5 µm, where the colored spheres represent the Er3+ ions within the doped glass. Right: Representation of the Stark splitting of the 4I13/2 and 4I15/2 manifolds of the Er3+, illustrating how the plasmonic modes facilitate the emission from the broader Stark manifold ...

Limit theorems for sums of independent random variables defined on a nonrecurrent random walk

open access: closedJournal of Soviet Mathematics, 1982
Let {Xi}i=∞ -∞, {ξi}i=1∞ be two independent sequences of randoms variables, where the ξi are identically distributed and assume integer values. Let In the paper the question of the asymptotic behavior as n → ∞ of the quantity is considered. It is shown that the distribution of Wn converges to the distribution of the normal law and that the ...
