The effect of photobleaching on bee (Hymenoptera: Apoidea) setae color and its implications for studying aging and behavior [PDF]
Historically, bee age has been estimated using measurements of wing wear and integument color change. These measurements have been useful in studies of foraging ecology and plant-pollinator interactions.

This study explores the mechanical performance of three auxetic structures, identifying a re‐entrant‐star hybrid as the most effective for impact absorption. Finite element simulations and experiments demonstrate significant gains in energy absorption and flexural strength after geometric optimization. This study investigates the mechanical performance

Novel ferrocene derivatives (e.g., FcPhc2) are used as an ultrathin layer hole‐blocking layer, reducing hole injection from the Ag contact. This results in an ultralow noise spectral density of 1.2 × 10−14 A Hz−1/2, and a high specific detectivity of 8.1 × 1012 Jones at −0.5 V.

Age and sun exposure-related widespread genomic blocks of hypomethylation in nonmalignant skin [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Aging and sun exposure are the leading causes of skin cancer. It has been shown that epigenetic changes, such as DNA methylation, are well established mechanisms for cancer, and also have emerging roles in aging and common disease.

Promoting Skin Cancer Awareness [PDF]
Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the nation and the cost to treat it is around 8 billion dollars a year. Sun exposure is linked to all three types of skin cancer and incidence of melanoma is highest in Caucasians compared to other races.
