Biomimetic injectable engineered hierarchical porous microspheres for enhanced synergistic cell therapy of critical limb ischemia

open access: yesBioactive Materials
Critical limb ischemia (CLI) is limited by the inability of conventional therapies to timely alleviate ischemia-induced inflammatory response and tissue damage.

Decoupling Electron and Phonon Transport in 3D‐Printed Bismuth Telluride via Synergistic Compositional Co‐Enrichment

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, we use direct ink writing (DIW) to 3D print Bi2Te3‐based materials and naturally induce hierarchical functional nanostructures, which reduced the lattice thermal conductivity by half, resulting in high zT of 0.87and 0.89 in p‐type and n‐type compounds, respectively, competitive with commercial materials.

Fullerene‐Mediated Iodine Immobilization at Buried Interfaces in Sn–Pb Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Indene‐C60 bisadduct (ICBA) accumulates at the buried interface of inverted tin‐lead perovskite solar cells, limiting undesired electron extraction while maintaining efficient hole transport. ICBA simultaneously scavenges molecular iodine, mitigating Sn2+ oxidation and interfacial recombination. This coupled electronic‐chemical regulation delivers 22.7%

An Adaptive Hammerstein Model for FES-Induced Torque Prediction Based on Variable Forgetting Factor Recursive Least Squares Algorithm

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Neural Systems and Rehabilitation Engineering
Modeling the muscle response to functional electrical stimulation (FES) is an important step during model-based FES control system design. The Hammerstein structure is widely used in simulating this nonlinear biomechanical response.

Bacterial Cellulose‐Based Bilayer Passive Cooler for High‐Performance Radiative/Evaporative Cooling

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A sustainable bilayer passive cooler based on bacterial cellulose integrates radiative and evaporative cooling for efficient zero‐energy temperature reduction. The scalable, low‐carbon material shows strong potential for food preservation, low‐temperature storage, and cold‐chain logistics.

Tailoring Light Management in All‐Perovskite Tandem Solar Cells: The Impact of Nanotextures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
To further improve the power conversion efficiency of all‐perovskite tandem solar cells, light management strategies need to be implemented. Front‐sided nanotextures reduce reflection losses, which boosts light absorption, thus increasing the tandem JSC, which is further supported by reducing parasitic absorption.

Sky‐Directional Radiative Cooling Meta‐Films for Daylighting Windows

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A geometry‐mediated microprism meta‐film enables transparent, sky‐directional radiative cooling for daylighting windows. By decoupling control of visible transmittance from mid‐infrared emissivity, ground‐emitted heat absorption is suppressed while skyward heat dissipation is enhanced.

Adaptive Adjustment of FES Profiles Using Norm-Optimal Iterative Learning Control for Foot Drop Correction

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Neural Systems and Rehabilitation Engineering
Functional electrical stimulation (FES) is widely used as an assistive method for foot drop correction. However, existing FES controllers often induce unnatural muscle activation through rigid stimulation or lack adaptability to dynamic changes in gait ...
