Antibiofilm, Antimicrobial, and Anti‐inflammatory Potential of Rubus chamaemorus Rhizome, Leaf, and Fruit Extracts

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 7, July 2026.
Rhizome, leaf, and fruit extracts of cloudberry (Rubus chamaemorus L., Rosaceae) are systematically evaluated for biological activities relevant to wound infections. The methanolic leaf extract exhibits potent antibiofilm and anti‐inflammatory activity without cytotoxicity, whereas rhizome and fruit extracts are largely inactive.

Expanding Possibilities for the Use of Writing Genres in Early Elementary Science: Investigating First‐Graders’ Multimodal Sequential Explanations

open access: yesScience Education, Volume 110, Issue 4, Page 1079-1095, July 2026.
ABSTRACT This study investigates the outcomes of the implementation of a first grade unit incorporating multiple modes of representation and genre‐based pedagogy to support writing instruction in the genre of sequential explanations. At the end of a 6‐day unit investigating the structure and functions of carnivorous plants, 47 first graders completed a

Urban peatlands can harbour diverse insect communities but depend on appropriate habitat management

open access: yesInsect Conservation and Diversity, Volume 19, Issue 4, Page 884-895, July 2026.
Urban peatlands can support high insect diversity, including endangered species and peat bog specialists. Flower diversity boosts endangered species, while succession cover reduces overall insect richness—but bog condition and urbanization showed no major effects.

SUNDEW: An Ensemble of Predictors for Case-Sensitive Detection of Malware

open access: yesCoRR, 2022
Malware programs are diverse, with varying objectives, functionalities, and threat levels ranging from mere pop-ups to financial losses. Consequently, their run-time footprints across the system differ, impacting the optimal data source (Network, Operating system (OS), Hardware) and features that are instrumental to malware detection.

SEQUENCE ANALYSIS OF SUNDEW CHITINASE GENE [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of microbiology, biotechnology and food sciences, 2015
Progress in biotechnology has generated an interest towards the isolation and characterization of genes that should be used in strengthening of plant defence against biotic and abiotic stresses. Here we focused on sequence analysis of the chitinase gene isolated from untraditional genetic source, carnivorous plant sundew (DroserarotundifoliaL.).
