Diseases of sunflower seeds

open access: yes, 2006
The large number of various species of fungi has been isolated from the sunflower seed samples. The most important pathogens found on the sunflower are: Plasmopara helianthi, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Botrytis cinerea and Phoma macdonaldii. The majority of these pathogens are transmitted through the seed.

Seed priming as a method of preservation and restoration of sunflower seeds

open access: yesOCL
The study focused on determining the preservative and restorative effects of seed priming with gibberellic acid (GA3) and potassium nitrate (KNO3) on sunflower seeds against deterioration. The seeds were immersed in different concentrations (0, 250, 500, and 1000 mg L−1) of GA3and KNO3solutions before and after being subjected to accelerated aging (AA).

Foamed Concrete Sealing Materials for Coal Seam Gas Drainage Boreholes: A Review

open access: yesSafety Science and Technology, EarlyView.
This study investigates the sealing performance of foamed concrete in gas drainage boreholes. By comparing leakage pathways (a, c) with sealed systems (b, d), the research demonstrates how foamed concrete effectively fills mining‐induced fractures and resists deformation.
