Fracture toughness of a welded super duplex stainless steel
Materials Science and Engineering: A, 2014Abstract Fracture toughness testing was conducted on standard single-edge notched bend bar specimens of base and weld metal. The material was the SAF 2906 super duplex stainless steel. The aim was to evaluate the susceptibility for brittle failure at sub-zero temperatures for the base and weld metal.

This paper focuses on the examination of ferrite and austenite textures formed upon thermo-mechanical treatment and deformation textures developed during cold-rolling of super-duplex stainless steel sheet.

Weldability and hydrogen relationships in super duplex stainless steel
1995As the microstructure of commercial duplex stainless steels consists of approximately 50% austenite and 50% ferrite, the response of these two phases to hydrogen is of interest to the users of these materials. A study has been made of the hydrogen cracking behaviour in welded super duplex stainless steel using the GTA welding process.

CORROSION 1990, 1990Abstract UNS S32750, a so called super-duplex stainless steel, has been investigated using many test techniques in various aqueous chloride environments. The results show that the UNS S32750 alloy has superior resistance to localized attack as compared to most other stainless steels.
