Synthesis of Poly(Itaconate)s With High Monomer Conversion Applying Emulsion Polymerization
Itaconic acid and its derivatives are a promising and bio‐based substitute for oil‐based polymers such as acrylates. In this study, the optimization of polymerization of itaconic acid esters is described by applying emulsion polymerization leading to high reaction conversions and low residual monomer contents. ABSTRACT Itaconic acid and its derivatives

Who gets redeployed? Inventor characteristics and resource redeployment decisions
Abstract Research Summary While the literature highlights the benefits of internally redeploying resources, there is less empirical guidance on which resources are most likely to be redeployed. We examine the relationship between inventor characteristics and redeployment decisions, motivated by the tension between costs and benefits of keeping a ...

Strategies for enhancing sensitivity in lateral flow assays
Lateral flow assays (LFAs) are essential for cost‐effective, rapid point‐of‐care diagnostics. However, conventional colourimetric LFAs often lack the sensitivity required for low‐abundance biomarkers. This review evaluates six enhancement strategies: flow modulation, sample preconcentration, advanced reporters, chemical signal amplification, structural

Metal‐Catalyzed Transformations of Carbon Dioxide Toward the Production of Commodity Chemicals
This perspective highlights how transition‐metal catalysis can enable the synthesis of economically attractive CO2‐derived commodity chemicals. By transforming waste CO2 into acrylic acid, cyclic carbonates, and other valuable products, these strategies provide a practical route for simultaneous CO2 sequestration and valorization, helping to align ...
