Photo‐Rechargeable Organic Supercapacitor via Light‐Activated Electrolytes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A photo‐rechargeable organic supercapacitor device is fabricated comprising activated charcoal electrodes and 2‐nitrobenzaldehyde as the electrolyte. The operation principle of the device relies on the photoinduced transformation of 2‐nitrobenzaldehyde into electrochemically active benzoic acid derivatives.

In Situ Converting Conformal Sacrificial Layer Into Robust Interphase Stabilizes Fluorinated Polyanionic Cathodes for Aqueous Sodium‐Ion Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A unique interfacial conversion concept is proposed to establish robust cathode electrolyte interphase for stabilizing fluorinated polyanionic cathodes in aqueous electrolytes. In a typical case, the conformal Al2O3 sacrificial layer is predeposited on high‐voltage sodium vanadium oxy‐fluorophosphates cathode, which can progressively react with trace ...

Nano‐Oil‐Barrier‐Based Fluttering Triboelectric Nanogenerator

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work proposes a wind‐driven nano‐oil‐barrier‐based fluttering triboelectric nanogenerator (NF‐TENG). A nano‐oil barrier is a simple and innovative strategy to maintain a thin lubricant layer for long‐term cycling based on commercial oil‐absorbing sheets and oil‐infusion steps, which can improve both mechanical and electrical stability of TENGs ...
