ABSTRACT The objective of the present paper is to study in detail the properties of the Birman–Schwinger operator for a self‐adjoint realization of the one‐dimensional Hamiltonian with the Coulomb potential, both when the Hamiltonian is defined only on ℝ+$$ {\mathbb{R}}_{+} $$ and when it is defined on the whole real line.

Quantum Depletion of Superconductivity in 3D Diamond Nanowires
Heavily boron‐doped polycrystalline diamond nanowires demonstrate an exotic resistive state that alters the trend of the superconducting transition. Automated anomaly detection is demonstrated for electron energy‐loss spectrum imaging in an atomic‐resolution scanning transmission electron microscope using an unsupervised learning approach. A 3D convolutional variational autoencoder is introduced and tested on the iron L‐edge spectra taken from a single‐crystal BiFeO3 sample.
