Borophene Via Intercalation Exfoliation
This article presents a scalable intercalation exfoliation method for borophene synthesis using LiF, KF, and their combination in DMF. Comprehensive characterization, including AFM, Raman, and XPS, confirms high‐phase purity metallic β12 and χ3 borophene. Molecular dynamics simulations reveal ion‐induced interlayer coupling reduction.

Emergent Epitaxial Configuration of Pr3IrO7 Domains via YSZ (111) Substrate
Epitaxial growth of Pr3IrO7, with its highly anisotropic structure, on a (111)‐oriented Yttrium‐stabilized ZrO2 (YSZ) substrate leads to distinctive domain configurations. This domain arrangement gives rise to spin‐glass behavior, markedly different from bulk materials, highlighting the impact of reduced dimensionality and substrate interaction.

Very rare semiconducting AlB4 phase was discovered together with several low‐lying allotropes form a new class of multifunctional 2D AlB4 nanomaterials featuring exotic hypercoordinate motifs and fascinating physicochemical properties. ABSTRACT Semiconducting phase is extremely rare and difficult to be realized in two‐dimensional (2D) aluminum borides.

Investigations on Structural, Stability, and Magnetic Properties of Zr4Mn4Si7
This study reports experimental and theoretical investigations on Zr4Mn4Si7, revealing a novel crystal structure (space group P4/nmm) related to the Zr4Co4Ge7‐type. Density Functional Theory calculations, supported by experiments, indicate that silicon deficiency and temperature critically influence phase stability.

An analytical model is presented that successfully describes how out‐of‐phase boundaries in epitaxial thin films of layered materials affect X‐ray diffraction (XRD) peak profiles. It is applied to describe the experimental XRD profiles of two types of Aurivillius oxide thin films: SrBi2(Ta,Nb)O9 and Bi4Ti3O12.Layered crystal structures, such as the ...
