Laguerre-Gaussian supercontinuum
Optics Letters, 2006We show what is believed to be the first coherent white-light optical vortices generated from supercontinuum that have the azimuthally varying phase structure consistent with a monochromatic Laguerre-Gaussian beam. Two methods of Laguerre-Gaussian supercontinuum generation are discussed and contrasted.

A Review of Mid-Infrared Supercontinuum Generation in Chalcogenide Glass Fibers
Chalcogenide glasses have the advantages of a wide transparency window (over 20 μm) and high optical nonlinearity (up to a thousand times greater than that of silica glasses), making them good candidates for mid-infrared supercontinuum generation.

Supercontinuum generation by the modulation instability
We report on a numerical study of supercontinuum generation in a single-mode optical fiber by the modulation instability. An ultrabroadband octave-spanning continuum is generated for femtosecond pulses with subkilowatt peak power. In particular, we investigate the influence of higher-order effects such as third- and fourth-order dispersion, self ...
