Discontinuous Galerkin methods: exploiting superconvergence for improved time-stepping [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The discontinuous Galerkin (DG) methods are one of the most extensively researched classes of numerical methods for solving partial dfferential equations that display convective or diffusive qualities and have been popularly adopted by the scientific and

Superconvergence of discontinuous Galerkin methods for two-dimensional hyperbolic equations

open access: yes, 2015
© 2015 Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. This paper is concerned with superconvergence properties of discontinuous Galerkin (DG) methods for two-dimensional linear hyperbolic conservation laws over rectangular meshes when upwind fluxes are ...

New fractional linear multi-step methods of order four with improved stabilities

open access: yesCQD Revista Eletrônica Paulista de Matemática, 2022
We present two implicit fractional linear multi-step methods (FLMM) of order four for fractional initial value problems. These FLMMs are of a new type that has not appeared before in the literature.

Superconvergence effect in finite element methods for two-point boundary value problems

open access: yes, 1987
.Approximate methods for solving two-point boundary value problems are considered. The aim of the paper is to explain superconvergence effect in the methods using finite element spaces.

Superconvergence, Confinement and Duality

open access: yes, 1995
Arguments for the confinement of transverse gauge field excitations, which are based upon superconvergence relations of the propagator, and upon the BRST algebra, are reviewed and applied to supersymmetric models. They are shown to be in agreement with recent results obtained as a consequence of holomorphy and duality in certain $N=1$ SUSY models.

Generalized superconvergence relations for KN and scattering

open access: yes, 1968
Generalized superconvergence relations for KN and [Formula: see text] scattering are used to deduce parameters of the rho meson trajectory. Results are found to be in reasonable agreement with those from previous analyses using different methods.

New superconvergence relations for spin and tensor structure functions of γγ fusion

open access: yesPhysics Letters B
The Burkhardt–Cottingham sum rule is an exact superconvergence relation for a spin-structure function, derived from general principles of light absorption and scattering, and valid at any momentum transfer Q2.
