Challenges, models, and algorithms for flow and transport simulations in deep reservoirs
Deep reservoirs are considered a promising resource for future energy supply, but current reservoir simulation technologies may face certain challenges if they are directly used in specific scenarios in deep reservoir development. Models and algorithms were developed to resolve these challenges, including a better phase equilibrium model, a better ...

Gels for CO2 geo‐storage and conformance control: A systemic review of behavior and performance
This review provides a systemic evaluation of potential sealants used in CO2 subsurface storage practices. Critical analyses of how external factors like CO2, pH, brine salinity and hardness, rock mineralogy, pressure, temperature, and injectivity could affect the performance of different sealants are provided. Abstract Carbon capture and storage (CCS)

Transition‐Metal‐Free Carboxylation of Aryl Boronates in Supercritical CO2
Carboxylation using stable and abundant CO2 as a carbon source would be an attractive option in synthetic organic chemistry if the use of highly reactive organometals or toxic and expensive transition metals can be avoided. Herein we report a transition‐metal‐free direct carboxylation of aryl trialkoxyboronates in supercritical CO2 (scCO2), promoted by

A Critical Overview of Common Foodborne Toxicants and Methods for Their Reliable Detection
ABSTRACT Food is an essential commodity for human health. However, toxicants such as mycotoxins, heavy metals, acrylamide, and pesticides can be present in food either naturally or through processing, packaging, or some anthropogenic activities. A thorough review of carefully selected studies revealed that climate change and pandemics have led to an ...

ABSTRACT Deep saline aquifers and depleted reservoirs are prime candidates for CO2 storage, but feasibility assessments remain limited in regions with little oil and gas activity, such as the Lower Mainland of British Columbia (LMBC), Canada. This study evaluates the CO2 storage potential of the Georgia Basin strata beneath the LMBC, focusing on three ...
